By: Birhat Atrushi

To encourage creative expression, Theater Publishing House (TPH), a program of ME-T alongside UKH and IBB, hosted a landmark event on February 27 - the inaugural digital art session. Guided by Finn Nichol, an accomplished illustrator and master's student notably recognized by us for his contributions to ME-T, this online gathering sought to inspire participants within the digital realm.

Facilitating the Session:

Finn Nichol assumed the role of facilitator, bringing his expertise to remark on a thoughtful exploration of digital art. Drawing upon his experience, he conducted a discussion designed to engage nearly 30 participants in navigating the intricacies of the virtual environment.

The Aesthetically Refined Virtual Setting:

An environment immersed in artistic allure defined the virtual backdrop. The energy between the glow of the presentation and the palpable creativity in the digital air created a place where the convergence of one's art transcended any kind of limitations, as if the virtual space was not a barrier, but a place where the topics spoken of converted the place into a live ceremony.

Hence, the overall general positive notion of how Finn operated his lessons, having been able to merge his expressive art, into open and interactive discussion quarters that help people with their journey to expressing art.

Delving into Digital Art's Evolution:

The session embarked on a historical journey, delving into the origin of digital art. John Whitney Sr, credited as a pioneer in video digital art, was acknowledged for his impactful contributions. Vera Molnár's revolutionary digital brushstrokes and the visions of William Kentridge added depth to the exploration.

Interactive Engagement:

In a departure from conventional formats, Finn Nichol curated an environment conducive to open dialogue. Participants were encouraged to pose questions, fostering an interactive atmosphere that dismantled traditional barriers between educator and audience.

Q&A Excellence and Collective Showcase:

The event featured a dynamic Q&A session, facilitating a robust exchange of inquiries and insights.
