Introduction to Kurdistan youth- Report 8: Work

According to the above table, 79% of the youth are absolutely and 16% are somewhat interested in working. On the other hand, 5% of the youth are still not sure if they want to work. It is worth mentioning that 95% of the youth are either completely or to some extent interested in working.

The above table indicates whether the youth are interested in any particular j of ​​work. 78% of the youth have a specific field of work that they like, while 22% do not prefer any specific field of work.

According to this graph, 38% of the youth have information about what they intend to do, while 20% have some information about it. On the other hand, 24% of the youth have a lot of knowledge and 18% of them have little knowledge about the job they intend to do. It is worth mentioning that more than half of the youth (62%) have a lot of or enough information about what they intend to do.

The above graph shows that, 48% of the youth believe it is very important to receive a high salary for what they do, while 39% believe that it is important to receive a high salary. furthermore, 13% either don't care or don't care at all whether they get paid higher or not. It is worth mentioning that the importance of having money is clear as 87% of the youth, more than three-quarters of them, consider receiving a high salary.

According to this graph, 93.5% of the youth believe that it is very important or important to have the opportunity of capacity building in a job, while only 6.5% consider this not very important or not important at all.

The above graph indicates that 57% of the youth believe that it is very important to have a famous and respected job, while 34% of the youth consider this important. On the other hand, only 9% of the youth either find it not very important or not important at all if the work they do is famous and well respected by society.

HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO HAVE MANY HOLIDAYS?

According to this graph, 58% of the youth think it is very important or important to have many holidays, while 31% of the youth do not think it is very important if there are many holidays. Furthermore, only 11% of the youth do not care about having many days or not. It is worth mentioning that the proportion of those who care a lot (27%) or care about having many holidays (31%), is roughly the same as those who do not care (31%).

The graph indicates that 37% of the youth think it is very important to have an interesting job, while 36% think it is important to have an interesting job. On the other hand, 27% of the youth either care very much or do not care at all whether they have an interesting job or not. Furthermore, nearly three-quarters of the youth (73%) find it very important or important to have an interesting job.

The above graph shows that 47% of the youth believe that it is very important to have a job that is necessary for society, while 39% think it is important if they have such a job. On the other hand, 14% of the youth think it is very important or not at all important if they have a job that is necessary for society. Furthermore, more than three-quarters of the youth (86%) consider it very important or important having a job that is necessary for society. It is worth mentioning that almost half of the youth (47%) think it is very important to have such a job.

According to this graph, only 4% of the youth consider it very important to have a job that does not have any health risks, while 72% think it is important to have such a job. On the other hand, 23% of the youth think it is very important or not important at all if they have a job that does not have any health risks.
