By: Birhat Atrushi

Introduction:

In the realm of self-improvement literature, "Atomic Habits" stands quite interesting as a beacon guiding individuals towards positive change. Recently, ME-T had the privilege of hosting a unique event centered around the translator of this bestselling book, by Warvin Abdullah.

Atomic Habit:

James Clear's "Atomic Habits" delves into the profound impact of small, incremental changes in daily routines. Warvin Abdullah interestingly separated these habits into four distinct pathways, offering a comprehensive understanding of how they shape our lives and the methods with which we can learn to collate them with change and building good habits.
Warvin Abdullah also shared insights into the transformative power of devoting just 15 minutes a day to language learning. By emphasizing the significance of this seemingly modest commitment, he drew parallels between these small habits and the broader themes within "Atomic Habits."

Book-verse:
Warvin Abdullah offering his insights by himself to the rest of the team was an invaluable moment in the history of the Bookverse as it showed the intertwining community and how they have been able to build such a connection that the translator of a book has been able to witness the rise of a book reading community who were able to understand a fascinating framework of sharing ideas and involving themselves with selective quotes, methods, and tasks.

Invitation:

The event was an open invitation to explore the nuances of habit formation and personal development. Warvin Abdullah's unique perspective, coupled with his role as the translator, added a much-needed layer to the conversation, making it an important realm for sharing ideas which is what the Bookverse is all about.

Session:

The panel discussion was an engaging session where Warvin Abdullah shared his journey in translating the book. He was able to show how he connected the dots between the author's concepts and real-life applications, providing attendees with practical insights on incorporating atomic habits into their daily lives.

Remarks:

In his closing remarks, Warvin Abdullah underlined the importance of sharing ideas and knowledge. He emphasized how collective learning fosters a community committed to positive change. The event concluded with a call to action, urging participants to not only internalize the wisdom within "Atomic Habits" but also to share it with others.
In a world where individual actions contribute to collective impact, the event served as a reminder of the effect that small, intentional habits can create. As ME-T is committed to community betterment, we believe in the power of sharing transformative ideas, and Warvin Abdullah's insights, from giving effort into language learning, and being able to define ideas, we are finally able to see the truth from these sessions:
That everything is connected. The author of a book, a translator, and a bunch of young and passionate book readers.
